NEW PROMPT: It seems like every time I hear about television (I don't watch the thing), there's a new "reality" show, each premise more absurd and/or embarrassing than the last. So now it's your turn: use a story or poem to pitch your crazy, absurd, embarrassing, or otherwise unsavory idea for a "reality" TV show.

THIS IS NOT MY REALITY

It's now part of my culture, and I should be ashamed.
I sit just like a vulture; my dignity it's claimed.
Reality T.V.'s here; it hits short of its mark
and with its inane story, my brain rermains in park!
Yesterday, I saw a show; it was my fav'rite shop--
was in flames, space-ship inside--it was a total flop.
The premise of the plot:: invasion had occurred!
And just when I\d seen enough, a battle cry was heard.
It seemed the martians had come and formed a battle line--
earth was doomed, our dreams were lost, life ended by design!
I know the thing was contrived; I didn't buy a bit
of what it said, turned the knob and made the T,V quit.
This isn't reality--it only promotes fear!!
Reality--the real thing--is something I hold dear!
