NO WAY!!
To all the people pleasers out there, a short advice

I wonder why sometimes it becomes so difficult for people to say that simple two letter word NO! Most of us do not possess the courage to refuse. I guess we intend to appear polite and wish to have a favorable disposition. However, the price you pay for it is enormous. People tend to take you for granted. It happens everyday. For instance, you would've burnt the midnight oil to complete an assignment. The next day, a friend at college, who spent the night burning the dance floor, says he wants to take a look at your copy to gain some "inspiration". Caught between the devil and the deep sea? For sure! Cant say NO, because you don't want to be labeled a nerd, and you don't want to say yes simply because the masterpiece,
as it were, is yours. Your wishing they had copyrights for academic assignments. Finally, you reluctantly sell your hard work away for nothing but being nice.

You've had the longest, unluckiest, most annoying day of your life. Your back home and the only solace you now look forward to is sweet sleep. Sleep! Yes! We cant ever get enough of it, can we? Your tucked in your bed in your PJ's. All set to be overcome by slumber. Rrrrriiinnnnggg! Your cellphone rings like the death knell. Its your friend. She's been struck by that unfortunate tragedy for the 100th time now-"a break up". Sure, you have to hear her out. After all what are friends for?

I guess we have to stop being people pleasers. Sometimes its okay to say no. You have to cut yourself some slack. A lot of blessed ones do it with enviable ease and perfection. Ironically, most times its people like us who are at the receiving end of a no. Polite behavior is not always reciprocated. So learn to say no or become a doormat. I don't want to be one. NO WAY!!
