Urdu:  Feryaad ki koie lai naheen hay
          Naala paaband e nai naheen hay

English:=== I know, I know when I moan and groan
                  It has no pitch; it has no tone
                                          -

Urdu:  Kuin boetay haen baaghbaan toenbay
          Ger baagh gada e mai naheen hay 

English:=== They all say to me, "O what is up?
                  And why is the tulip holding a cup?"
                                            -

Urdu:  Herchand her aek shai maen too hay
          Per tujh si toe koie shai naheen hay 

English:=== When God is present in everything
                  Why then there's a beggar, why there a king?
                                            -

Urdu:  Haan khaaio mat faraib e hasti
          Herchand kahaen keh hay, naheen hay

English:=== So let's not have any more confusion
                  This world is naught; it's just an illusion
                                              -

Urdu:  Shaadi say guzer keh gham na howay
          Urdi jo na ho toe dai naheen hay

English:=== In the end there's nothing there to explain
                  It's all subjective, this joy, this pain   
                                              -

Urdu:  Kuin radd e qadeh keray hay zaahid
          Mai hay, magas ki qay naheen hay

English:=== And when our preacher rejects the wine
                  Little does he know that it's so divine
                                              -

Urdu:  Hasti hay na kuchh adam hay, GHALIB
          Aakhir too kya hay, aey naheen hay

English:=== So, GHALIB, don't worry about anything
                  For nothing in the end is everything
