Clipped wings, now drowned in sorrow
Looking out into the abyss
The fallen soul prays for tomorrow
To soar again like the chariot drawn by sparrow
The memory – such bliss
Clipped wings, now drowned in sorrow
The path least traveled chosen – not the narrow
The nature of acts deemed iniquitous
The fallen soul prays for tomorrow
Castigated by the poisoned arrow
Wings once pure now blackened, persists
Clipped wings, now drowned in sorrow
Sun of gloom rises this early morrow
The lingering day, only to reminisce
The fallen soul prays for tomorrow
An essence decayed to the marrow
For which perhaps, salvation exists
Clipped wings, now drowned in sorrow
The fallen soul prays for tomorrow
