Ladybird, forever free
don't you shy away from me.
I've seen you ride a gust of pleas,
speak flirtingly to the roots of trees.
You're selfless as our tragedy
as you glide within your dynasty.
And I am just your passerby
who haply stumbled on a sight
a glimpse of Van Gogh's "Starry Night".
Wrapped up in a fragile shell,
delivered on some beaten wings,
smiling on the propeller breeze
hungry for those dwellers under the leaves.
Come to me, oh won't you please
share with me, your book of stories.
You've seen the world, and all its flowers.
You've spied on kings, atop their towers.
Ladybird, forever be
transparent to the fibrous weave.
Those nets can't fashion your mystique
you would burn a hole through
before they could speak.
So sleep
amongst the starry eyes,
the millions pinned into the sky.
And come you by, my lonely side
come play your tune on down my spine.
Ladybird, your gown is red, it's black
you slip in, slip out through every crack.
And that is just what makes you free
I just hope you'll soon unshackle me.
But until then,
you keep on playing your song.
Oh - Its eloquence wraps my lips along
my pale teeth, framed and hung for you.
Let me repay your beauty.
