All is silent in the hollow of the night
Sitting here all wrapped in fright The quiet eating at my very soul As long as I'm here it will never be whole The stillness brings the ghastly quivers As the shutters bang I fill with shivers The floorboards creak an eerie squeak And I sit here wishing someone would speak Frightening shadows cast by trees Minions come to collect their fees All my mind playing its game Leaving me scampering in complete shame Flailing frantically down the stairs Headed off to find someone who cares Sounds of studded shoes banging a beat Attempting to scare what you can't defeat Finally the bottom I have reached Only to find it has yet to be breached I'm still alone in the silents of the night Wrapped in my blanket, sweating away the fright.
