Blood Red Tears

Dark as night and evil as sin.
Malice and hatred all tied in.
Blood red flow the tears.

Each day that dawns is dull and dim.
Cruel lips curl in sinister grin.
Blood red flow the tears.

Wishing the next strike will be the end.
Hope, a whim she can’t comprehend.
Blood red flow the tears.

Bones are breaking, not meant to bend.
Hard to breathe, she cannot defend.
Blood red flow the tears.

Senses dull and begin to retreat.
She smiles slightly in final relief.
And blood red flow the tears.

Ok, so about this poem. I wrote it last night and it sounded so good when I first wrote it, but now that I read it again, something seems a bit off. If you can help me figure out what that is, let me know, and I'll be extremely grateful!!
