The cafes of Oztend are quiet. The afternoon sun is out and people have no need for coffee and chocolate and cake and scones and sandwiches and buns and lemonade…actually they do like lemonade on a hot day.
But today in Oztend it is raining outside. The streets splash and splosh and ripple with water as the cars drive past and clouds blow over, umbrellas waddle along the road and people hide their heads from the drip, drop, dripping of the water falling from the eaves and canopies and trees.
The cafes of Oztend are lit and warm and cast their reflections onto the darkening street, warmly drawing us in for tea or coffee, or cake, or buns, or scones or chocolate or…..
