Night Walk
My try at a dark poem

Night air chills the bones
    Something is wrong
What was that behind you?
    Sinister
You are being watched
    Malicious intent
Another noise!
    Quickly turn
Something darts away
    into the shadows
Stay to the lights
    Quicken your pace
Something behind you still
    Don't stop!
Don't Look
    Keep moving
Only a block to go
    No lights now
Still behind, closing in
    Running now!
Fumbling with the keys
    Quickly through the door
Slam! Locked!
    Oh no, the back door!
Someone there
    Heart pumping
To your room
    Lock the door
Safe
    Something in the mirror
You are being watched!
