You Made It
To all my nieces and nephews who made it to adulthood and are trying to do great things!

Beautiful, as you are,
You turned out perfect,
You made it un-scarred;
Not everyone made it--
To where you are!

Such a role model,
You have become,
For adults and the little ones.
I’m so proud to see;
You made it--
To where you are!

I write this poem,
For you and you know
Who you are;
You’re the child,
That everyone thought,
You would never make it--
To where you are!
