Forgotten and Alone
She hides her face
her legs still slick and wet
He left the money on the table
He has three mouths to feed
Yet, God has forgotten him
Forgotten and Abandoned
He cries to the night
Jail bars close in
The bloods still warm on his hands
He had to protect his family
Yet, God has forgotten him
Forgotten and Hopeless
She is afriad and alone
A new heart within her
It was never supposed to go that far
She has to grow up now at only 14
Yet, God has forgotten her
Forgotten and Ashamed
He begs for just a dollar
Fire, facotry moving to China
Food stamps still won't cover
He has to raise his family
Yet, God has forgotten him
Forgotten, so many people
Suffer through life
Why must God hide his face
The Light that starts so bright
swindles, disappears, dies
The American Dream
There is ruin in our streets
Misery from the voiceless, old, and ill
Cynicism for the hungry youth
The scale of inequity
Crashes and burns
They never had the chance
A chance to
wait in wonder
Listen to Life
Grab for Grace or
Save their Soul
Do not condemn
even with your eyes
for they are often deceived
The rash one has no integrity
but the just one, because of
his faith, hope, and love
Shall live
