Holiday Cheer

It's Christmas time once again this year,

full of elves, hot chocolate, and holiday cheer.

The people all gather around the bright Christmas tree,

the looks on their faces are full of glee.



They see all the presents and the stockings filled wide,

the children wonder if they should open them up or hide.

They woke up real early before the parents, you see,

and when they hear their parents coming, they run, they flee!



Back into their beds with closed eyes they go,

not making a sound as it continues to snow.

Blanketing the ground in its white frosted ice,

let's hope it doesn't get too cold for the mice.



The carolers outside are singing their wonders,

making sure they leave out all of the blunders.

And as the sound of Christmas fills the streets,

everyone stands on their porch listening to the beats.



They look at each other and all hate floats away,

this is not the time to be malicious, but gay.

Spending time with the people, the people you love,

is much like the feeling in the Heavens above.
