The smallest of piece
The greatest of sum
An unsung equation
Not dare spoken of
Everything undone
Nothing is whole
Completely failing as one
A truth be told
A life exposed
All that I am
Is nothing because
Of all that I am missing
The smallest sliver
My soul has forever been
Stripped away by all
Was displayed when I was
Merely twelve years old
A youth decimated by
The darkest of intentions
Hateful words spoken
I did nothing to
Deserve such a thing
Left to live with
The consequences
I have been maimed
No matter how hard I pray
Or what I do to change
I fear all that I will face
Is more of the same
Until the sliver that
Has been ripped away
Is put back into place
I am doomed by
All of their mistakes
Hapless wreckage of change
All that stands in my way
All that I have betrayed
A price paid in vain
No one is keeping
A running total
There is nothing
More that I can do
I have reached the end
The sliver I am missing
Is the greatest part of
The whole that has
Become my life......
