The Baby Battle
They will live to fight another day

I curled up on the couch with a nice big bowl of buttered popcorn while Baby sat on the floor beside me with a favorite doll. Kitty played with a ball of yarn on the floor next to Baby. I put the movie in and we were all into our own little worlds. Little did I know that Kitty's world and Baby's world were about to collide in the worst way.

Kitty's ball was quickly spinning out of control and began to invade onto Baby's space which quickly distracted Baby from the doll. Baby snatched the yarn from Kitty and began to wrap it around the doll. Kitty thought it was a game and pounced at the ball of yarn. Baby was desperately trying to keep the yarn from Kitty who soon forgot about the yarn when Baby became the object of desire. Baby tried feverishly to ward off the attacking kitty but soon realized that task was impossible. Kitty was purring and meowing in excitement to be playing with a new toy. Baby began crying and screaming as the thought of danger crept into play.

As I tore my eyes from the television screen, I realized that Baby was lying on the ground and Kitty was on top licking Baby up and down. I quickly realized there was no imminent danger but snatched Kitty off and gave the ball of yarn back. Then, I picked up and gently soothed Baby. Soon, all was quiet again, so I put Baby back down for round two. The battle continues...
