Ladies and gentlemen, it is my distinct pleasure to introduces to you Samantha, known here on WDC as Sssam. Sam spent her childhood on the beach in a small town in Queensland, Australia, which is fitting for her astrology, because she was born in July, under the sign of cancer, which is a water sign.
According to http://horoscopes.aol.com/astrology/zodiac-central/cancer, the greatest strength of a person born under the sign of Cancer, is “Their ability to nurture others.” As Sam’s pal, I have found that to be very true. After she graduated with her BA in Business Communications & Public Relations, she visited the United States before backpacking through Europe. She has lived in Spain for the past thirteen years, where her father was born and where she met her husband. Sam has worked in many different jobs, such as sailing instructor, lifesaver, waitress and shop clerk, all perfect jobs for a born “beach bum.” Some of her most interesting jobs were as an air steward, a transport controller, and, an English teacher, most of which she held before she could even speak Spanish. Currently she is the communications officer for an international shoe firm, which I’m sure makes use of her being bilingual. She has a little dog whom she named Rati, but she assures me that is due to her looks and not her heart, and that she loves her very much. Her hobbies revolve around water sports (no surprise there!) She also loves traveling, photography and WDC. Friday nights you’ll usually find her enjoying tapas and beer with friends. Her newest loves are reading, discovered during a boring holiday when she read The Hobbit, and writing. I can personally attest that her writing is remarkable for someone who says she’s only been writing for three months.
