Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you Sticktalker, known in real life as Lyle. He has had quite the journey to becoming a fiction writer. As our guest speaker today, he is joining us to talk about going from reporter, to editor, to printer, to Science Fiction Writer. We all know his contributions to our Gang as a leader, but today is our chance to also see how his path has lead him to become a distinguished writer of Science Fiction.

Lyle is a proud husband and father, who began his journey with words as a means to support his family. As time passed in his career, Lyle moved up the news chain to desk man, editor, and eventually owner. As an owner of various California newspapers, he had the opportunity to develop straightforward writing skills, but fiction writing required more elaboration and description than he had previously utilized in news writing.

As Lyle transitioned into retirement, that interest in science fiction brought him to writing.com (WDC) and to the Paper Doll Gang. Throughout his time in the WDC community Lyle has seen his descriptive abilities grow, until now when he is willing to put those skills to use. Lyle is currently in the process of writing a novel for NanoWriMo. Whether his pursuit wakes him at four in the morning or causes him to stretch new writing muscles, he has persevered. Committment like this can teach all new writers about how much the process of writing is not just about the story, but also about the experience.

Please join me in welcoming a man of many talents and our guest lecturer on descriptive writing...Lyle aka Sticktalker, Leader in the Paper Doll Gang, Member of The First People's Tribe, and Science Fiction Novelist...
