FIRST DAY OF WORK

Reception could double as the studio set to the national news. A sculptured wall backdrops a pony-tailed ball of energy. Embossed writing on the wall glimmers:
'CANUNIVERSAL - A National Media Platform' Obviously, an Image Consultant's spin for  'profit driven, massive media pasteurizing machine conglomerate'. Not for long ... Ha!  Reporting of the news teeters on the precipice of a paradigm shift.

[NOTE TO SELF] – Find out how to create a blog. More appropriate for my rantings. But in the meantime, this has to make due.

The advent of miniaturized video devices and Internet blogging empowers anyone to disseminate opinions, photos and eyewitness accounts to a world-wide audience. This means the era of centrally CONTROLLED content is over!  In other words, say 'goodbye' CanUmiversal. The future lies in filtering the streams of this crap. And I mean CRAP!  Just because one has the knowledge to operate a blog does not mean one has the skills to engage the reader. That is the purpose of creative writing. That is why people study journalism. Exceptional writing is an invisible carrier of the story. When driving through a scenic route through the mountains, attention rarely focuses on the smoothness of the highway, Effective wring is as complex as road engineering, both transport people without drawing attention.
