You Are There

You are there
Within my early morning thoughts.
As the sun rises,
So does my soul
Smiling softly within,
Breathing your name.

You are there
Within the chaos of my day.
As the traffic rushes,
My heartbeat quickens
Feeling your presence
To calm and soothe.

You are there
Within my lonely nighttime fears.
As the stars shine
My mind reaches out
Longing for you
And your tender, savage touch.

You are there always
My soul mate, lover, friend.
