As I look back and recall, the times I've spent with you, every single second gone, fills a fear inside me; for I know as things grow old, they lose their charm. I pray it's just the opposite with our friendship. I was fortunate not to find a magic lamp and ask a friend for a wish; for now I realize that, although things between us didn't fall in place right away, it was worth the wait, 'cause I got a gift, surely better than a genie would have offered. Remember those hours we spent stuffing our tummies to their limits, gorging on every bit on the table, swearing and cursing some of our "friends" around? How can I forget those soothing talks, to cool each other down from that pre-examination heat? Or even the times when we discussed and debated on secrets everyone knew? Even then I feel, I would've lived some more moments with you, 'cause it’s forbidden to take a stroll with you, or even when my heart is overflowing with sorrow, to hug you tight and let myself out, for the world is not a nice place for two straight best buddies. Friends may chat for hours together, but the true test of friendship is the silence that stays comfortable, between the two of them for ages. No wonder I feel the same with you.
