Course Outline

"Zero Week": (First Course Meeting):

In the first course learning opportunity, participants will bring together the tools required to successfully complete this course. The course format and functions will be experienced for the first time. A quiz will help participants learn the course navigation, as well as interaction with other site materials related to the topic. A creative writing assignment and discussion topic will be a part of the learning experience this week.

PART ONE

"Week One": The Preamble to God's Constitution of Love and Grace

Why does God need a Constitution? What is a constitution, anyway? How does it apply to me, today? In the early days of life, there was a need to establish laws which separated God's people from the others in the world who worshipped other Gods--or no gods whatsoever. We will look at how things were then, how they are now, and why God's Constitution is as valid for humans today as it was when He first wrote His law with his own finger on a stone tablet.

"Week Two": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article One

This week's learning experience, building on the previous week's activities, will examine who exactly God says that He is, why He is, and how important it is for us to recognize His position in the greater scheme of things, especially as it applies to our living today.

"Week Three": God's Constitution of Love and Grace Article Two

From last week's adventure, we will continue to understand that God is jealous FOR his people, not of them. From history, we will learn of the situation at the time God gave his Law of Love to His people, how they were to respond to His law, and how anyone could know that someone was worshipping the God of Creation, and not other gods. How could messing up this part of God's law have implications for us today? Why should we even care?

"Week Four": God's Constitution of Love and Grace Article Three

In this learning experience, we will examine why it is that God is so protective of His own name. Participants will also encounter the reality of what misusing God's name can mean to and for them. Learning to protect your name is a vitally important aspect in today's world of identity theft, litigation, and corruption in business, home, and school. What can you do to protect your name? Does it really matter? How? Why? Does anything depend on your name? Learn some secrets about your name you probably never knew.

"Week Five": God's Constitution of Love and Grace Article Four

In this concluding learning experience for Part I, participants will delve into words and derivations, word meanings, and how we can track their proper use throughout history. There are 92 words in this Article which will be explored from both a historical and current day perspective. What happened in the middle? How can we fix it? Or, should we? Participants will have a mid-term quiz.

END OF PART ONE

"Week Six": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: The Never Ending Battle over Colossians 2:16-17

In this mid-term "break", students will put on their "Scholar's" hat, and prepare to defend their personal opinion about the arguments this topic creates. Does this Constitution apply to us today? Do all the articles pertain to our living in this modern world? If so, how would this affect our lives, our work, and our families? Who's responsible for them, anyway? If we must adhere to all the Articles, how do we do that? At what cost?

PART TWO

"Week Seven": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Five

In this week's learning experience, participants will begin to encounter Part II of God's Law. They will learn precisely what the important words in this short article mean for all of us in today's world, and what we can do about our living if we choose to accept this important truth revealed to us. Participants will again journey through the WDC site seeking to find both good and bad examples of the way we view this important law.

"Week Eight": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Six

This is one of the Articles that just about everybody remembers, but few actually adhere to. Participants will experience an opportunity to test, for themselves, how they measure up to this important Law of God in their living today. Options will be given for bringing participants thinking and living into line with a more appropriate life that reflects their acceptance of this Law of God.

"Week Nine": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Seven

Is there a way to "write this law" on our hearts and minds? This is one of those Laws that is most often misunderstood, yet it is one of the most dangerous of all God's Laws of Love and Grace ever given to mankind. Participants will look at this Law from a new perspective that includes both historical and current day applications for those who adhere to God's Constitution that may never have been seen before.

"Week Ten": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Eight

Are these Articles arbitrary? Did someone just make them up to solve a community need way back when, in a time that just doesn't understand or appreciate the sofistication and complexities of our information / knowledge age? The values that were apparently needed back then just do not apply today. It's a crazy world out there. What are we supposed to do? Through an interactive interview with God Himself, participants will get some ideas that may never have entered their thinking before.

"Week Eleven ": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Nine

Oh, man! How in the world are we supposed to accept THIS Article? Participants will have an interactive exercise with each other and the instructor to examine this law's historical beginnings and current day applications. Definitions will be shared and discussed, with a creative writing assignment that will take the participant through the WDC site. You will NOT want to miss this one!

"Week Twelve ": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Article Ten

In this final Article, we discover God's Law on how we are to treat each other. Using all that we have learned so far in the course, particpants will examine this very special Law to see how it has affected individuals, nations, and the world throughout history. There are serious implications for us today, as well. Final Examination review will begin, and creative writing assignments will be given to the participants who will work in groups for the final course assignment. A live interactive classroom will be the sight of the exercise: Putting God's Constitution on Trial:" Is It Valid Today?"

"Week Thirteen ": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: REVIEW

The entire Constitution will be reviewed, with a special "eye" toward how participants can actively demonstrate their citizenship as a member of the Constitution's people with their interactions together, in life, and at WDC. What is the value of a lesson learned if there is no one, or no place in which to exercise it? What must we do? How? When? Why? A final review of the course will be given, and instructions for students will be given for the Final Examination, final writing assignment, and Student Evaluation Survey will be taken.

"Week Fourteen: ": God's Constitution of Love and Grace: Course Wrap-up and Final Examination

In this concluding session, course awards will be announced. The final writing assignments will be given, and the Final Examination will be taken by all course participants. This learning experience will count for 1/3 of the entire course grade. Instructor Evaluation will be given. What do I do now? How do I take what I've learned to the next step? How will I know I'm Doing It Correctly? What's the difference, anyway? Will it really matter? Why Should I Care? These, and other questions will be asked, and answered in this course wrap-up learning experience.

This is an interactive course of study. Your course leader is not a teacher so much as a facilitator. You will have to provide your own interest, impetus, and determination to see the course through. If you need help, please ask. Share with the other participants your concerns, or any problems you may encounter along the way. You will make "life-strong" friends as a result of this course. I hope you will learn to use and appreciate them--and yourself as you complete this life-changing learning opportunity. A "class" is made up of ten (10) participants. Classes will begin when filled. The course is self-paced, but interactive. I hope you will choose to participate in this life-changing learning opportunity. To fill out the application, please go here   now.
