Urdu:  Jis ja naseem shaanakash e zulf e yaar hay
          Naafa dimaagh e aaho e dasht e Tataar hay

English:=== When flies in the breeze her curly hair
                  The musk of Tatar you smell everywhere
                                          -

Urdu:  Baiperda soo e waadi e Majno guzar na ker
          Her zarray kay naqaab maen dil baiqaraar hay

English:=== And when from her face she lifts the veil
                  The hearts go crazy in every dale
                                            -

Urdu:  Aey andaleeb yak kuff e khas behr e aashiaan
          Toofaan e aamad aamad e fasl e bahaar hay

English:=== The flowers do blossom in mead and vale
                  And sings his song the nightingale
                                            -

Urdu:  Chirhkay hay shabnam aaiena e berg e gul per aab
          Aey andaleeb waqt e wida e bahaar hay

English:=== The birds and the flowers look woebegone
                  They think, when she leaves, that the summer is gone
                                            -

Urdu:  Hay zarra zarra tangi e ja say ghubaar e shouq
          Ger daam yeh hay wasat e sehera shikaar hay

English:=== Every grain of dirt is under her command
                  So at her call lose deserts their sand

Urdu:  Kis ka suraagh e jalwa hay hairat ko aey Khuda
          Aaiena farsh e shashjahat e intazaar hay

English:=== Oh, she is so lovely, so charming, so fair
                  That they come to see her from everywhere
                                            -

Urdu:  Dil muddaie o deeda bana mudaie aleh
          Nazzaaray ka muqaddama phir roo ba kaar hay

English:=== Her beautiful face they greatly admire
                  And their hearts and eyes are full of desire
                                            -

Urdu:  Patch aa perhi hay waada e dildaar ki mujhay
          Wo aa'ay yaa na aa'ay pay yaan intazaar hay

English:=== If she says she'll come when they invite
                  They wait for her all day, all night
                                            -

Urdu:  Dil mat gawaan, khaber na sahi, saer hi sahi
          Aey baidimaagh aaiena tamsaaldaar hay

English:=== But with her absence they cannot cope
                  Their hearts all break; they lose their hope
                                            -

Urdu:  Ghaflat kafeel e umr o ASAD zaamin e nishaat
          Aey merg e naagahaan tujhay kya intazaar hay
