MOUNT LAVINIA STATION
A lost love awakening from a sight of a past place

MOUNT LAVINIA STATION

When my train goes past 'Mount Lavinia' station

My eyes go to the seat near the entrance

Where we sat, holding hands in another day

Will I see that day again, I wonder?

We were a happy couple some time ago

Until you took someone's hand in secret

It changed all I believed dear to me

My dreams vanished leaving me stone cold

Came December with it's usual coldness

On the radio I heard Christmas songs of yesteryear

All of a sudden my mind went back

To the last Christmas we had together

On my way back home I again go past

Mount Lavinia station with it's beautiful settings

There I see many couples hand in hand

Walking, smiling and sitting on benches

Now I do not feel so sad

Whenever I go past the station

Because you gave me a beautiful daughter

Whose smile makes me happy forever
