MOUNT LAVINIA STATION When my train goes past 'Mount Lavinia' station My eyes go to the seat near the entrance Where we sat, holding hands in another day Will I see that day again, I wonder? We were a happy couple some time ago Until you took someone's hand in secret It changed all I believed dear to me My dreams vanished leaving me stone cold Came December with it's usual coldness On the radio I heard Christmas songs of yesteryear All of a sudden my mind went back To the last Christmas we had together On my way back home I again go past Mount Lavinia station with it's beautiful settings There I see many couples hand in hand Walking, smiling and sitting on benches Now I do not feel so sad Whenever I go past the station Because you gave me a beautiful daughter Whose smile makes me happy forever
