New Prompt! Ack! Our Santa Ana’s are starting up. Imagine a soft, warm breeze whispering in your ear as you step outside. Unfortunately, Santa Anas will soon escalate into fullness. Then the softness furies itself into a monster that grabs at t-shirts and blouses and attempts to rip them into shreds. It creates mini-tornadoes of dust clouds that cake skin and nostrils until breathing becomes almost impossible and each inhale stings. (Okay, I exaggerate a little here.) The wind thunders and pounds. It . . . Well, you get the message. Today write about WIND and personify it so we can feel, see, hear, and practically taste its emotions. And write a story or poem that provides a vehicle for the wind’s literary venting. INVISIBLE Wind pounding swirling (pulling up dress) tearing off my new roof, spreading shingles-- imitating swift gray blowing feathers invisible blowing sand's bitter grit (Double tetractys 1-2-3-4-10-10-4-3-2-1)
