Expectations emerge at birth
Every body gauges the worth
Exact details are never known
Enormous burden on its own
Enjoying life is the main goal
Essence of joy for body and soul

Earthly goods give some joy
Everlasting peace not nearby
Exploring ways to calm a mind
Emptying the muddle of all kind
Emotions to spare, way to start
Entrance within, a superb art.

On the Thanksgiving Day once a year,
family gathers for the feast and a prayer.
It gives a chance to be humble, grateful
to those who are taken for granted for all.

All our life we are supported by others-
the nature, parents, friends & teachers,
shape our life, they give, and we take
as if it’s our right, don’t think otherwise.

Heartfelt thanks to the Thanksgiving Day,
which let us bow for once in grateful way.

Wish to be grateful for the gift
of the life, the nature giving lift.

All the loving care given to us
such a mercy bestowed on us

Colorful Illusions

For some people life is a colorful illusion;
like a mirage for a thirsty man on the ocean!
Colorful illusions can help one to survive
in a bad times, in a struggle or in a strife,
but if it becomes a reality or a state of mind,
then one loses the sense of the genuine kind.
Sometimes it’s difficult to turn them away
could be so tempting that’s hard not to sway.
It’s a test for the power of determination,
as if the willpower is on endless tribulation!

If I had known before
I would have behaved better,
Is how my thoughts go
Whenever I feel a blow;

Who can tell the future
or can control the nature?
Decisions need to be made,
Action-plans need to be set;
After thinking for it twice
Weighing virtues and vice,
Some unknown events arise
bad feelings, though unwise,
travelled through my mind,
making me repeat it again-
If I had known before…
