I reach out to hold you,
you pass right through I try to break down the wall, that separates me from you. When I catch you, It feels like you’re not there. Alone, my only company is my feelings of despair. It’s like I’m being haunted by what I long to have. Your heart it feels I’ve lost, How did it elude my grasp? The only time I feel your touch, Is when you push away. I want to stay, but it seems my time doesn’t fit into your day. “This can’t be the end” with a trembling voice I shout. Do I carry on or rip the stitches from my heart and slowly bleed out? Then I would be a poltergeist, a remnant of what was. Haunting you forever, my beautiful lost love.
