OVERCOMING THE TOUGH STUFF!

I did not mean to pick this life, l really didn't know
that my great path, so promising, would not know where to go;
instead of working lawyering, as I had learned to do,
I know I'm busy writing verse--am happy through and through!
I have been through some fright'ning days--the hospital's my friend--
but I now overcome tough stuff! Faith saved me in the end!
I didn't like my day job much--it drove me up a tree!!
And when I had to quit I knew that I'd be happy, free!
