Awaiting her yes
A poetic proposal...

Two decades is the time I've lost
until I stumbled upon you.
Baby we have just as much time
as that early morning dew.

So let's not wait any further,
let's dare to take this free fall.
If you trust me we'll surely land safe,
our love will always stand tall.

I want our love to be special,
something the world has never seen.
No matter how old our bodies grow,
our souls would stay seventeen.

Now that you've taught me to fly,
let's take off for the love paradise.
Where no heart is mortal as it's here,
a land far away from hatred and lies.

Yes life's not always a silky smooth sail
but we'll render our every fear bland.
Though I know it's easier said than done,
you have to trust me, just hold my hand.

I know these words are just not enough
but my love is surely crystal clear.
And if you don't believe just look in my eyes-
now will you say yes to me dear?
