Brief Example

This is a very brief example of how to write the same scene three different ways:

Example 1 I pushed open the door of the smoke-filled bar and scanned the room for Julianna. My heart skipped a beat as I spotted her toned legs jutting out of a booth near the back of the room. We would only have a few hours to spend today, but I could already feel the blood pulsing through me at the thought of what we might spend our time doing.

Example 2 I flicked my cigarette into the gutter as I walked toward the bar. I was praying that she would not be there, the mysterious stranger from the phone. What pictures could she possibly have? I brushed back my hood as I stepped through the threshold. Julianna said she would be in the last booth.

Example 3 As I sat down in the booth, I could see Julianna's alternate face coming forward. "Lieutenant, put that away. These humans cannot know about our presence yet!"

"I'm sorry Captain. I...uhh...forgot. I'm sorry. It is hard to contain my insuedo when we are around alcohol."

"Well you must, the other patrons of this bar should think we are just like them."
