In honor of TVF's Thanksgiving In a Bag

Give thanks for this day
In all that comes our way.
View the silver lining
Even when the suns not shining.

This one thing is true
Here as the sky is not so blue
A thankful heart is so needed.
New thoughts should be heeded.
Kings, queens, and royalty too
Sure have so much to do.

Give Thanks in the day, lets say!
Give Thanks in the best of ways.
Give Thanks that needs are met
Give Thanks that the sun does set.

As we gather around the table
In tattered rags or shirt of white sable,
Pause and consider the world around us
And give thanks for all the daily fuss.

Give thanks and give it often
In so doing our hearts will soften.
Very sure that in all the worlds toils
Even these minor details, the foibles

Take precious time from those we love.
Help!  On this day kiss your turtle dove
And tell them what you are thankful for.
Now go forth and do it with all you care for,
Keep them in your thoughts and prayers
Seeking their blessings during the holiday cheers.

Give Thanks and realize gratitude is a good attitude to have.
Happy Thanksgiving one and all and to all a good night!

Grateful for a church that knows outreach will bring
100 Thanksgivings in a bag and a turkey on top, others meeting the needs of the many.
