Slipping Back in to Midnight Blue

In the deepest of oceans, I sleep
Where colours of light don't reach and
Stray moonbeams can't find me
There, where only faded rainbows
And soft, flickering stardust shines
To light the corners of my skies

Sailing through shades of pale blue
Searching the hues of silent heavens
Wrapped in this, the darkest of dreams
I'm slipping back again
Back, into midnight blue


In sweet slumber, I travel to you
Seeking solace for a restless heart
A place to lay my head
To find for once, my soul at peace
Where restless wills can't touch
All those ambitions unfulfilled
I'm slipping back again,
Slipping back
Into midnight blue.
