Confusion
A poem to be thankful you're not on the floor

Eyes and tears, I saw these beside her ears
I lifted the knife and pressed it into her cheek
And I raised it to scratch away the tiny stream
Of a little burning creek
Please hide my lack of interest
I’m apologizing
To a woman who tried her best
Tried her best
To ignore my thoughts and kill
My dreams
When I dreamed of little demon things
You’re so alive
Eyes and tears, I saw these beside her fears
Staring at me like small round mirrors
I touched her cold hand
And I made sure
To withstand this wasteland
Because I can be angry
I lifted the knife to cut a little stream
To make a burning creek
Down her face
Which always looked at me
So
Hatefully
I think
You are so alive
