Fashionista/Crimson Crusader Comic Story

Fashionista is a teenager named Arlene Lastrus that poses as a part-time model at Feminine Fashion Magazine Inc. She models clothes that are both old-fashioned & regal (like European ball gowns) & scandalous modern clothing (like skorts & two-piece swimsuits). She lived a hard life growing up as a homeless girl in the 30’s with no money. She found her way to luxury at 10-years-old when a manager for Feminine Fashion magazine came up to her offering a free internship. She worked there for a few months & finally found the miracle that she needed. She even found the boy of her dreams, Paul Salsaruse. He showed her the beauty of the world. They dated for five years without hesitation or arguments. Then everything changed after the accident, when another girl appeared in the picture.

Her name was Anita Caldaruse. She was a conceited, but well-meaning girl who wanted to find that special someone in her life. She was a nurse to Paul when he introduced both girls to each other. They were best of friends for four years. Then came Anita’s unrequited love for Paul. She was crushing on him for four years with no results. She started to develop a jealousy towards Arlene. She fell in with her family who was part of the Mafia. She then decided it was time to get Paul’s love. She used all of her expenses to make gifts & wonderful tokens of love for him, but he was too smitten by his love for Arlene to notice.

Then came one faithful day when the friendship of these two girls ended forever out of sheer coincidence. Anita tried to send another gift to Paul by having Arlene deliver it. It was a beautiful knife made out of diamond for his sculpting hobby. Arlene accidentally dropped it & Paul slipped at the same time, he ended up getting dying stabbed by falling onto the diamond knife. This finally drove the nail between Arlene & Anita’s friendship forevermore. Arlene was hopelessly thinking that Anita was trying to kill Paul since he could never be hers & that was responsible for his death. Meanwhile, Anita thought that Arlene deliberately fell to keep Paul in her arms in the afterlife so that she’ll never lose him. Anita resigned & they went through the parting of ways at least as all great comic book friends do…

In 1953 a new crime turf began in Manhattan. Arlene moved there to get a closer look. She discovered a new crime syndicate had begun that has been fighting with the Mafia, & they were led by Anita. Anita had started the Female Fatalists which had two F’s with the tops intersecting to make an insignia with knives crossing through it. She had begun an all female criminal organization. She was armed as its leader known as Crimson Crusader. Anita developed weapons technology for both sides of the law. She supported street gangs while running a puppet government by bribing the city officials with protection & money.

Arlene found out about this when she was mugged by one of her gangs. She was saved by a young hero who resembled Paul that was leading a police force against her. The man’s name was Theodore, Theo for short. He was actually Paul’s younger brother that joined the police force. He discovered the corruption in the government as soon as he came into the force. In reality he was the famous hero Baron Blade. Theo realized he had to stop Anita’s corruption in the city by helping Arlene don a facade as Fashionista.

Theo was a swordsman with gadgets & swords that fought enemies using martial arts while scaring them to death with his swords. As Fashionista, Arlene fought using hand-to-hand combat equipped with trick-clothing that helped her fight enemies. They fought like this for five long months on this crusade, even coming closer sometimes to revealing her puppet government. Then came the confrontation between the two former friends. Arlene realized who she was & fought her valiantly but refused to take Anita in. She allowed Anita the chance to think about her crimes & repent for her misdeeds. But alas it would be a long time before they could see eye-to-eye again. Will these friends remain foes? Will Crimson Crusader get back up on her feet to continue her mad totalitarian regime?
