What is that? In the tree there, In its fuzzy, green, mushy state It is pretty to someone but not me (if I were a caterpillar, I might find it beautiful) But I will wait And when this little writhing , Accordion-shaped, leaf-filled Larvae makes its cocoon and emerges later as a colorful monarch then and only then will it be beautiful to me but I am picky I wonder Sometimes, If it would be Beautiful both ways If I could not see.
