Contest entry for A2Z

Avg Rating: (1)
In anthropophobic journey
destined never to leave my cocoon,
my ordinary life’s empty;
no bliss dare usurp my dark moon.

The contour of my bleak midnight
is filled with arrogant self-sung song.
No doctor can quell my sickness,
for this lion has roamed too long.

Like a hideous zither with
shallow strings stretched far too tight,
time writes my frenetic chorus--
plays impulsive notes in my night.

I have found that to say goodbye
is a rare necessity because
no interaction with this world
finds a path to my deep flaws.

I yield a myopic vision;
no kiss from poetic worldly lips.
I am a lone and steadfast rock--
a xenophobe afraid of trips.
