Oh today is the day I celebrate your Homegoing.
This day is reserved for you in all its splendor. I realize that you are no longer with me. I realize too that you are in Heaven. I love you Dad. I loved the knowing that I had a great dad while yet alive. It is a hard thing to do without you. I know I must for the Lord never makes a mistake. I always wanted to be the first to go instead of you. However, that was not to be. It is true that I am happy and I have a wonderful friend and brother in Robert. I am sure that you would like him had you ever met. As I said before, I am celebrating your Homegoing. I know where you are today and it is a place I trust will receive me too. I have put my faith in the Lord God above. I know that as I have done that there is a place for me in Heaven one day. There is so much to rejoice about today and I am rejoicing in the knowing. You were a big part of my life. You never left my side and took up for me many times. I appreciate that and love you for it. May you do some rejoicing today too, Dad. May you and Mom look down on me from Heaven and smile. I am happy and serene. I love you Dad and always will.
