Best Opening Paragraph
Sporadically, one mile marker after another whizzed through Beth’s line of sight. Each marking one less mile between her and her destination. There was only one thing on Beth’s To Do List for today—Drive. Such a small, insignificant appearing word, yet it signified so much—a new beginning, a new life. Time to chuck the old one, and embrace the one she was about to erect from the ground up. This time, hopefully, with fewer mistakes than she’d made previously. I mean, that was the whole point of painful experience, wasn’t it?—to teach us what not to do in the future? Only time would tell just how much she had learned.
