Daily Surprises
Each day brings new delights Today a hawk landed outside my window Well fed fat belly full of dove and Feathers slick red-gold and gray. What will tomorrow bring I wonder. Sunsets painted gold and pink Or a package on my doorstep perhaps One never knows. Yesterday my grandson woke me. Crawling into bed he said Guess what I bringed today Then showered me with cars and shiny stones. Each day brings new delights Surprises come in all forms Just open my eyes to see Why I love life so.
