I brushed against the rose So soft and cushiony; And with it- scents of red, Like flowering berries, Their taste filling the air, I felt the taste of it. I swallowed the flavor Of strawberry perfume. I didn’t reach for it But felt it all the same. I didn’t reach for them But yet—the feelings came.
