Equilibrium

Darkness overwhelms the weary soul.
Blackness spreads, like the dust of coal,
covering everything. No part remains
untouched by its onyx chains.

Light appears when least expected.
Hope is finally resurrected
by a glimmer – faintly seen.
A ray of brightness within a dream.

Darkness has a unique twist.
It drains your will to exist
and plays upon your worst fears.
It blinds you with its ebon tears.

Light will mend your dying spirit.
From within you it can transmit
a path which leads to your salvation.
Not destruction but creation.

Light and dark – cosmic brothers.
Each cannot exist without the other.
Find your balance, take control.
It is what makes us uniquely whole.
