One Night on a Pontoon
I want you. I want you with me. Above the waves and the sounds of the sea.

I want you with me.
To hold me tight for a moment more.
Tell me you'll sail the ocean
And visit me come Spring.
Tell me you'll write until you can write no more.
Tell me about the peices you play.
I want you beside me.
On the pontoon, hiding,
beneath a table.
How not to be seen, you'll explain,
then you'll disappear.
I want to feel you
as more than a breath of wind.
Butterfly dream,
Come back again, fleetingly.
