This Winter's Day

THIS WINTER'S DAY

In the quiet of a snowfall,
on this early winter's day,
Heaven speaks to us in beauty,
where the angels came to play.

Hillsides dressed in white glory,
blue-white icicles brightly shine,
Tell their own Christmas story,
inspired by grace and love divine.

And we know that you are here,
Your voice is in the wind and snow,
The message is still very clear,
For You love us more than we know.

Thank you for the gift of love,
seen in the eyes of every child.
Thanks for sending from above,
a precious son on who you smiled.

Did you shed tears as he was placed,
within the Virgin Mary's womb?
Were you there when wisemen shared,
miracles beginning to bloom?

The greatest gift we would ever receive,
was given many, many years ago.
Even more on this day we do believe,
As we see your heart from here below.

It is said love isn't really yours,
Until you have given it all away.
That is true more than ever before,
In the quiet beauty of this winter's day.
