CHRISTMAS FUTURE

CHRISTMAS FUTURE

I've had the joys and tears of Christmases Past,
and I've learned that Christmas Present doesn't last.
So here I sit and write of the years that may come,
I wonder about Christmas Future, when all is done.

We don't know what Christmas Future will bring
but we have our faith and the bells will still ring
out the hope and joy of each Christmas season,
Heaven help us if we ever forget the real reason!

God gave us the greatest gift of all, we are blessed.
with the baby in a manger who endured the test
to free and forgive and to save our souls from sin.
He opened His arms wide, and He took us in.

So just what does Christmas Future hold in store?
We may see less in our lives, and perhaps more.
There will be struggles, some grief and some pain
but our blessed Savior will be with us, all the same.

Do not despair when the going is getting rough,
God made us strong that we may get tough
enough to endure when it is Faith that we keep,
and dream of the future when we are fast asleep.

God bless us, each and every one this year,
may the spirit of Christmas Future be very clear
in our hearts and minds, for come what may
It's always been - and always will be - A Holy Day!
