Award Response For Mickey

I sit here amazed,
many a tear in my eye,
trying very hard now,
not to break down and cry.

This token you give
coming from the heart
has opened the emotions...
now where do I start?

A personal piece
took forever to post
a poem of emotion,
of one I loved most.

My beloved Mickey
no longer is here.
So, this poem I constructed
to keep his memories near.

Then you came along,
waving your magic wand,
decorated the poem,
with an award of which I am fond.

Thank you my friend,
for all that you do!
This will be cherished forever
as our friendship will too...
