GOD, THANK YOU!

GOD, THANK YOU!

I have to say a prayer today,
for the ONE who always sees my way,
the ONE who sheds light on my years,
the ONE who washes away all my tears!
I have to be thankful and say it again,
GOD has always been my friend!
Sometimes I forgot and I cry,
I lay down in self-pity and sigh,
while GOD is laying down a plan,
I always find a way to complain,
but once again, GOD has always been my friend!
I found a job today, that seemed so effortless,
on the wings of GOD I felt so blessed
and yet I cried for three months long,
in the middle of the night until early morn.
I missed the stars that shined on me,
I woke every morning, hating the sun to see,
Yet, GOD, just shook his head in disgust
praying I would put my faith in him and trust.
Today I did what I should have done all along,
I got in the car and sang my spiritual songs,
all the way down, that long highway,
not caring, just having faith!
look what GOD did see,
by the time I got back, there was a message for me,
my unemployment was done and uncanny,
for I received a job with the state to start in January!
Three long months I looked for jobs in this bad economy,
I did not have hope or faith, just heartbreak and worry,
GOD took care of all of that in one day,
Now is not the time for me to look away!
Here I am, sitting in tears,
cuz GOD didn't care about my 38 years!
Once again I AM BLESSED
THANK YOU GOD, FOR ALWAYS BEING MY FRIEND!

(even though, you know I am a spoiled brat!)
