New Prompt! Write a story or poem about a family that gave themselves something novel for Christmas. THE NOVELTY WORE OFF TOO FAST!! We got these gifts--our longed-for gifts; the fun of them just couldn't last! We're fickle, like the weather shifts-- the novelty wore off too fast!!! We use a generator, though video games were still a must! And, 'cause we are in Idaho, our sleek new clothes caught cold wind's gust; and we got frost-bite to our core! Our patience with our Christmas gone, our fingers frozen solid, sore! This way, our holiday moved on: the Christmas tree, it fell down too. We tried to be adventurous; but did not know quite what to do! This novel Christmas MADE US FUSS!!
