NEW PROMPT: Write a STORY or POEM about showing up at a New Year's Eve party to which you were invited, only to discover that you don't know a single person there .... PARTYING WITH STRANGERS! Got a fancy New Years invite; didn't know quite how to act! Was surprised to see who sent-- was excited to the max! Was a good friend from my office, from an elite neighborhood. When I viewed the swanky address, I knew this night would be GOOD!! So, off I went to party down; was anticipating fun! When arriving, I discovered I did not know any one! My good friend had left the city; leaving me alone with jerks! That just goes to teach this maxim: don't get too enthralled with perks!
