Discussion Topic One
==================================================== Do you keep a journal? A diary? (A diary is writing for the self, a journal is for everyone and/or publication) I do keep a journal, although I am not as consistant as I would like to be with it. ( It is posted as Metamorphosis;
Tell us if you practice either of the above, and if not, what is your method for starting a fiction story. I used to think I could first write a poem or short essay to sort of "try it on for size" and then take the idea from there. That was foolish thinking; once I really tried it a few times, I realized that I'd do better jotting ideas on fast food napkins. I now just carry a small notebook with me!' ______________________________________________________________________ If you wish, spend a paragraph on blogging. Do you have one? How would you classify a blog? Do you consider a blog a public diary or is it closer to a public journal? I have a short blog on WDC and add to it infrequently; I use it to let off steam and to chronicle events of daily life. I am somehow going to turn my journal effots into my blog in 2010. ______________________________________________________________________
