My Dearest Friend I am not a flower with dainty petals For you to pluck at your pleasure. I do not pine over you So that you may love me as you wish. I will not send out smiles For you to convert into kisses. I am not a cheap thrill Whom you may forget in the morning. You were my weak spot Which you peeled at like a band-aid. You transformed me into a troll- The ugliest form of myself. But now... The flower has re-grown, My smiles have returned, I will be remembered, My weakness has healed, And I recognize myself once again. So please never return, My dearest friend.
