Dear Me,
I'm leaving 2009 behind with no regrets. It was a year filled with heartache and troubles. I wouldn't want to relive the bad health, water leaks and death of my beloved dachshund, Daisy Mae. Needless to say, my writing took a back seat and plummeted to the depths of who knows where. This year of 2010 is filled with promise and my writing will take first place - perhaps more than any year before. First, I will work on my novels. I will search out just the right publishing market for "The Leaf." Next, I need to finish "Forbidden Love," my Civil War romance. I have an idea rattling around in my head for another novel, "Prison City," but it will have to take a back seat until I do all I can do to get "Leaf" and "Forbidden Love" published. On a daily basis, I will continue to pen poetry. This helps me to be succinct in my writing. I will also keep my journal up because this helps the flow of words transfer from thought to paper. I will continue to attend the writing classes at the Florence/Lauderdale Library and try not to wince when they critique my work and it doiesn't measure up. This hones my skills as a writer. First and foremost, I will continue to post my work on Writing.Com and critique the work of my fellow writers. The year of 2010 will be busy, but a happy one because I'll be doing what I like to do best: write. SIncerely.
