Aunt JoAnne,
By the time you read this I’ll be long gone. It’s taken me while, but I’ve managed to get that damned ankle monitor off and been able to slip in and out of the house at will. I pawned your silverware last week and used the proceeds to buy a stash of pot for resale. I found the spare keys to the car—the ones with the Lo-Jack Early Warning thingy on them. So that won’t be calling or emailing you. And, my friend, Pat’s, brother works in a car dealership and told us where to look for the Lo-Jack unit. So, thanks for the car. I guess you should have let me go for driving classes, ‘cause you probably won’t want to drive what’s left of your car—if you ever get it back. When you went out to the pool yesterday I went through your room. I found your stash of cash, your jewelry and your Xanax. I really scored on that, since you just got the prescription refilled. I also found your gun and the ammo. Thanks again. I told you I wasn’t going to change, but you wouldn’t listen. RJ PS: I just smashed everything in the hutch for the fun of it—and because I know that would really hurt you.
